Endhiran Robo Audio Songs Released

Finally a much awaited movie’s audio songs has been released. Robo (Endhiran) composed by ARR has come out good. The songs are more focused towards the movie rather than Superstar which reflects the work that has gone into the movie. A very good work by ARR. Vairamuthu’s Lyrics are especially good.

The story of Endhiran that is being rumored: Scientist Vaseegaran (Rajini), creates a robot (Rajini) with artificial intelligence. The robot learns different aspects of humans and starts to behaves like a human and falls in love with Aishwarya Rai. The villain, aware of the power of robot, acquires it to do evil. To set the consequences right Vaseegaran sets out on a mission to rescue the robot from evil hands. How he succeeds in his mission? Will Robo Rajini be rescued or killed? Wait and Watch

The Endhiran team, Superstar Rajinikanth, Aishwarya Rai and director Shankar, left for Malaysia today for the grand audio launch on July 31, 2010.

When one buys an audio CD they will find an interesting booklet. Some call it a treasure!!! Don’t know the reasons!!! Buy a CD to know more.

Orange is very interesting…. This article is intended to annoy the readers. The last section is the “annoying” section but before that….

Orange County(not country) is a county in California(Google Maps) known as city of orange is located 376 miles away from SJSU at Santa Ana. It is the second most populous county in CA. Los Angeles County and San Diego County have notable population. Orange County is famous for tourism attractions like Disneyland and Knott’s Berry Farm and few beaches.

Orange (telecommunications) is a France Telecom brand used for mobile network operator and internet service provider. It is the fifth largest telecom operator in the world. This brand was created for Hutchison Telecom, UK for its mobile phone network which later was acquired by France Telecom in 2000.

Orange (India) brand was launched in Mumbai, India 2000. This brand was under Hutchison Essar and Orange but was not part of Orange France Telecom company. In 2006 Hutchison ended using Orange as brand and started using Hutch Brand. In 2007 Hutch became Vodafone.

Orange Color – This color occurs between red and yellow in the visible spectrum. This color was named after the fruit “Orange”. In web CSS colors can be specified either by name or hexadecimal value. For e.g. black or 000000, white or ffffff. Orange is the only named color which is not defined in HTML 4.01 and hence to use orange color only its equivalent hexadecimal value (FFA500) can be used and not its name.

Orange Fruit – is the citrus fruit which originally originated in parts of Southeast Asia. Orange always refers to sweet orange because there is another kind named bitter orange. Surprisingly in Dutch and in few other languages orange is referred as “Chinese Apple”. Orange come in different varieties like blood orange, navel orange, persian orange and valencia orange. India produces 3.1 million tonnes of oranges as of 2006 survey which is the fourth highest. Top 3 producers are Brazil, United States and Mexico in the same order.

Jai Ho Lyricist Gulzar and Ilayaraja join hands after 26 years

Oscar award for Original Song for Slumdog Millionaire “Jai Ho” was infact shared between AR Rahman and Sampooran Singh Gulzar.

After 26 years, Gulzar is once again teaming up with Ilayaraja for Shah Ruk Khan’s movie directed by Ajay Varma. The Lyricist Gulzar and Music Maestro Ilayaraja have worked together in 1983 for Balu Mahendra’s movie Sadma.

Gulzar says the music maestro’s ability to create “perfect harmony” is still intact. Ilayaraja is one of his kinds. I wish he was heard more often in Hindi cinema.”

SRK is being directed by Ajay Varma, a descendant of the legendary painter Raja Ravi Varma. “It’s interesting that Ajay Varma has made a film at just about the same time a film on the life of Raja Ravi Varma by Ketan Mehta is ready for release,” said Gulzar.

The poet is not too fond of the title though.”The film is at the moment called SRK. Hopefully, it will change. What the film most certainly changes is the idiom of expression for film music. I feel Shaad Ali’s ‘Jhoom Barabar Jhoom’ and Anurag Kashyap’s ‘No Smoking’ gave me a chance to experiment with words in a way that film music generally doesn’t. Now I feel the same way about my poetry in ‘SRK’.”

Greater Expectation for glorified Rahman

Endiran / Robo

For ‘Endhiran’, the banner is just getting bigger. Directed by Shankar, with Rajinikanth and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in the lead, the movie is set to take the masses by storm with its top-slot cast and technology crew including Stan Winston Studio for Animatronics and Yuen Woo Ping, for the stunt sequences. Rahman’s Oscar has now added a great deal to the movie’s grandeur.

Sultan the Warrior

Actor Rajinikanth’s daughter Soundarya has a reason to cheer, too. ‘Sultan the Warrior,’ the animation movie starring her father jointly produced by her company – Ocher Studio, will now have an Oscar connection, with Rahman handling the background score.

“I was ecstatic when I saw Rahman sir win the Oscar. He deserves this and much more. He is a great human being,” she says, adding: “His winning the Oscar will surely add value to all the productions he is involved in and as he said in one of his interviews, his quality will remain the same, no matter which awards come by. I am a great fan [of his] and it is an honour and a blessing for me to be working with him on my directorial debut.”

Gautam Menon

Gautam Menon, says the award is a recognition for all his works. “Oscar for him is not just for Slumdog Millionaire. The award sums up his extraordinary work in all the movies he has worked in.” Calling himself a “fan of Rahman right from his maiden album,” Gautam says signing him for the Simbu-starrer ‘Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa’ was a dream come true. “I wanted him to score music for my first film. I am glad it has worked out now.”

A R Rahman, Danny Boyle and James Bond’s a Possibility!!!

The super success of Oscar winner Slumdog Millionaire has been so overwheming that the lucky pair of Danny Boyle and A R Rahman are being flooded with offers.

Grapevine has it that Danny Boyle has been asked to direct James Bond’s 23rd film. And since Rahman composed such great music for Slumdog Millionaire, it might just be that the music maestro also gets roped in for the project.

According to unconfirmed reports, Barbara Broccoli, producer of the next James Bond film has approached Danny Boyle for the project.

While rumours may be running rife about Rahman being a part of the Bond project, one thing is certain – if Rahman does it, the next James Bond soundtrack would surely be a super duper hit. Jai Ho!

The Cinema Music Directors’ Association held a function to felicitate A.R. Rahman on March 1st. The event was organized to honor A.R. Rahman for winning the Golden Globe award and for his nomination at the prestigious Oscars later this month.

In the function mellisai mannan M.S. Viswanathan, AVM Saravanan, K Balachander, the legendary Mangalampalli Balamurali Krishna and other musicians and famous singer’s were present.

‘Slumdog Millionaire’ & A R Rahman

A.R. Rahman Takes two Oscars for Slumdog Original Score and Best Song. Ealier A.R. Rahman had won a BAFTA Film Award for Best Music and a Golden Globe Award for Best Original Score – Motion Picture for the same movie Slumdog Millionaire.

Rahman, composer of countless Kollywood and Bollywood scores, won for his transporting soundscape in Slumdog Millionaire, Danny Boyle’s crowd-pleaser that is part potboiler, part fairy tale. His success tale was quiet evident by the number of awards he has got for his works..

Rahman started writing music for Indian TV ads in the early ’90s, eventually switching to film and composing dozens of soundtracks a year. In 2002, Andrew Lloyd Webber commissioned him to write the music for the play “Bombay Dreams,” which ran in London’s West End. Rahman also collaborated with London musician M.I.A. on the film’s acclaimed soundtrack.

Original song: ‘Jai Ho’ from Slumdog Millionaire, by A.R. Rahman and Sampooran Singh Gulzar

“Jai Ho” was one of two songs composed by Rahman that was nominated for original song from “Slumdog Millionaire.” It beat out the other song, “O Saya,” which was punctuated with stylish vocals from M.I.A., as well as Peter Gabriel and Thomas Newman’s “Down to Earth” from Wall-E.

“Jai Ho” was the more accessible of the two Slumdog songs, an uplifting theme also threaded with tension. With lyrics by Sampooran Singh Gulzar, who often goes by the singular name Gulzar, “Jai Ho” was one of eight awards for “Slumdog Millionaire” and Rahman’s second Oscar of the night.

Suchitra dances with Simbu – 23th August 2007

In every film, Simbu introduces new actresses. He was the one who brought Mandira Bedi and Yana Gupta to the Tamil screen. Now in ‘Kaalai,’ he introduces Suchitra. You will be able to identify this lady better when we tell you, we are referring to Radio Mirchi Suchitra. She can no more be called that since she has quit working as an RJ.

She is now working for a private TV channel and is concentrating on cinema. She is dancing for a song with Simbu in ‘Kaalai.’ She is also receiving offers to act in other films, not as a heroine, but in character roles.

How did Suchitra get the role in Simbu’s film?

“I have many friends in the film field, but Simbu is my best friend. People scared me about being friendly with him, but he is really a gem of a person.”

So, Simbu has given this opportunity to a dear friend. May he and his good heart prosper!

Its 7 AM. You don?t have any reason to wake up. But still you woke up. The concept of bed coffee is redefined as you searched where your radio is without even noticing the coffee cup. Turned it on. Its time for Hello Chennai. Here comes the sweet voice of RJ Suchitra which has all the makings of starting your day with a bang! The RJ popularly known as Suchi, know how to pep-up you with her bouncy and live wire presentment. Now that?s what I call the tone that gets you started out!

In case you are wondering what I was talking about, I was talking about Radio Mirchi, Chennai?s hottest radio station. The one that caused radio to reincarnate in the minds of Chennaites. All hells broke loose one day when the Govt. allowed private players to run FM stations a few years back. It has lead to the mushrooming of many FM stations including Radio City(Murdoch?s controversial investment),RED FM and Radio Mirchi(of the Times Group) and which in turn had more number of people turning on to their radio sets. That has given a quantum leap for radio in its Product Life Cycle (PLC) curve. That?s how it all started.

Mirchi has also the best RJ?s in town. The versatile RJ Suchitra Ramadorai, the award winning author of The Runaway Peppercorn and a talented singer is undoubtedly the best. As a regular listener of Radio Mirchi, I have become an aficionado of her voice and her jokes albeit being a non-Tamil. Humor is mixed up in all the promos. They are sometimes hilarious, sometimes outrageous and invariably, sometimes pathetic. But what is astonishing is that they made it all look like something that?s acceptable to an average and high class Tamilian alike.

After a break from Radion Mirchi for a while now Suchitra, one of the best-known voices on radio, will be hosting the Breakfast Show on Radio One from June 6, 2007. She will entertain and engage listeners on Radio One from 7 am to 11 am, Monday thru Saturday. Suchi had captured the imagination of the people of Chennai in a very short time and has sung in movies like Laysa Laysa, Kaakha Kaakha, Punnagai Poove, etc. She sang her first solo for Jay Jay, the much-hyped Reema Sen number on the crowded Vishakapatnam railway station platform! Congratulations, Suchi!
