On May 3rd, 2021, I got my 2nd dose of Covid-19 vaccine at Levi’s Stadium, Santa Clara, CA. For the next few days apart from pain in the arm, tiredness and drowsiness, I didn’t have any other post-vaccine symptoms. After multiple weeks I have had normal health.
Required documents for 2nd dose
- 1st dose confirmation card
- Accepted photo Id
- Insurance card
On the day (took 30 minutes, may vary)
Driving to the location
From my previous experience I ensured I entered Levi stadium’s parking lot via Old Glory Ln and Great America Pkwy intersection and the experience was smooth.
Quick summary of steps to expect (refer to map photo above)
- Show dose-1 card:- As we drove inside the entrance, we showed COVID-19 Dose-1 card. After a quick glance by the volunteers, we were asked to go to the Parking Lot.
- Parking:- We parked our car and wore masks and walked to the main entry point
- Collect Dose-2 form:- There was no queue so we just walked to the volunteers near the desk. They asked “Is this for 1st dose or 2nd dose?”. Since we were ready for 2nd dose, they gave the required form to fill. We tired to fill right there but they asked to to move to next location to fill up.
- Find a seat and fill form:- So we walked past the bridge and found a spot to get seated and filled the form. Again no queue. Once we were ready, we entered the building.
- Verification (Dose 1 card and ID’s) :- After we entered the building, they verified our ID’s (photo id and insurance card) and then asked up to move to vaccination spot.
- Vaccination Queue:- We had to take the escalator to go to the vaccine spot. Waited 2-3 mins in the queue.
- Got Vaccinated:- On our turn we went to the nurse who gave us the vaccine. Once she was done, she gave the fully vaccinated badge. She gave another card for dose 2. Keep it safe
- Get seated in the observation area:- Like the 1st time we had to wait in the observation area for 15 minutes before we walked towards the exit.
- Walk to the exit. Took photos:- We walked towards the exit, took photos of the stadium and us.
- Walk to the parked car:- Walked to the parking lot and came home.
